Earthquake & Tsunami create Thousand's of Victims [Link]

The most powerful earthquake in 40 years erupted under the sea off the coast of the Indonesian island of Sumatra on Dec. 26. The quake unleashed a giant tsunami wave that crashed into the coasts of south and southeast Asia, killing tens of thousands of people.

The power of the tsunami was felt as far away as the African coast, some 3,000 miles away.

The Beslan Children's Fund Project [Link]

The Edmonton Police Service and the Russian-Canadian Association of Alberta have launched a major initiative to raise funds for the children of Beslan, Russia who were involved in the horrific school incident on the 3rd. of September 2004.

Our goal is to raise enough money to bring 25 children and 5 chaperons who were involved in that incident, to Edmonton in January 2005.
